2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison: Spied
So far, we've only seen the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison in some early spy photos and at the 2018 State Fair of Texas. These photos from our spy photographer provide our first glimpse of a Colorado ZR2 Bison without camouflage in the real world, motoring through what looks like a shopping mall parking lot.
The 2019 Colorado ZR2 Bison is scheduled to go on sale in late December 2018 or early January 2019. Pricing will be available closer to its release date. Designed in collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles, the ZR2 Bison wears telltale AEV rims and the aftermarket manufacturer's signature front and rear bumpers. Here's what our spy shooters had to say:
"Just about a month ago GM introduced the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison complete with factory-stamped steel bumpers, skid plates and a snorkel. We were able to get our first look at the Bison without its scuba gear, which gives us a better idea of what we're more likely to see on the road.
"The Colorado ZR2 Bison is a fully warrantied factory-spec off-road truck with some serious off-road armor. From the factory, it features class-exclusive front and rear locking differentials and high-tech Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve dampers. The Bison grille bears 'Chevrolet' in all capital letters, taking a page from the Ford F-150 Raptor and Toyota TRD Pro playbooks. The Bison will sit on ZR2 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires paired with exclusive AEV Bison 17-by- 8-inch aluminum rims.
"According to GM, power will come from a 3.6-liter gas V-6 paired with an eight-speed transmission or a turbo-diesel 2.8-liter inline-four-cylinder Duramax engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Expect to see the limited-run 2019 Colorado ZR2 Bison on the road in the coming months."
