2019 Ram HDs Start at $35,090

Revealed to the public at the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, we now have complete pricing for the new 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty pickup trucks. Prices start at $35,090 for a Ram 2500 Tradesman 4x2 regular cab equipped with the 6.4-liter V-8 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission and go all the way up to the $80,540 for a Ram 3500 Limited Mega Cab 4x4 with the Cummins turbo-diesel and six-speed. All prices include a destination fee, and in most cases, 2019 prices are just slightly more than 2018 prices.

With regular-, crew- and Mega-cab choices, along with long or short wheelbases, gas or diesel engines, 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrains and five trim levels (Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn and Limited), the 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks offer an almost uncountable number of configurations. And don't forget about the 2500 Power Wagon and 3500s with single- or dual-rear-wheel setups. The mix is quite complex.

It's worth noting that the 2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagon goes up only $55 when compared to the 2018 model, and you get a stronger platform, a lighter truck (meaning higher payload) and the all-new eight-speed transmission with the lower 1st gear (which provides a 51:1 crawl ratio). That's lots of additional value for the new off-roader. Crew-cab Power Wagons start at $54,595 and come with more fuel-efficient 3.73:1 axle gears, the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 and a redesigned front winch with a stronger synthetic rope replacing the steel cable. All 2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagons will continue to offer front and rear locking differentials, a front sway-bar disconnect and Bilstein shocks. The less expensive Power Wagon Tradesman with fewer standard features will still be available as a 4x4 crew cab for less than $50,000.

Base 2500 and 3500 models come standard with the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 mated to the new — for the HD lineup — ZF 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission with a 4.71:1 1st gear. The optional turbo-diesel 6.7-liter inline-six-cylinder Cummins and six-speed automatic transmission add $9,100, while the high-output Cummins engine option (with 1,000 pounds-feet of torque) adds $11,795. The 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 are on sale now.
