2020 Jeep Gladiator Sold 2,584 Trucks in May 2019 – First Full Month On Sale (Sales Report)

June 3, 2019

Jeep Gladiator Rubicon

The new 2020 Jeep Gladiator has just closed its first full month of sales in the United States. The Honda Ridgeline sold more trucks in May than Jeep sold Gladiators.

Naturally, we cannot fully judge how the Gladiator is doing after just one month on the market, but we start to get the idea. Jeep sold precisely 2,584 new trucks in May 2019. Here is how it compares against some of the competitors.

General Motors and Ford are now reporting sales on quarterly basis, so we do not have the latest numbers for the Chevy Colorado, Ford Ranger, and GMC Canyon until next month.

We can still compare how the rest of the midsize trucks are doing by looking at the segment-leading Toyota Tacoma. The Tacoma continues to improve sales as 22,832 trucks were sold in May 2019.

The Nissan Frontier had a very good May with 7,497 trucks sold. The Frontier sales keep going up and down from one month to the next, but overall the oldest truck in the segment is down just -8.2% when compared to last year.
