The Beachy Volkswagen E-Buggy Is On The Way

The VW E-Buggy is perfect for the sporty driver looking for off-road exploration.

With the end of the decade around the corner automobile makers, like Volkswagen, are pushing the limits of innovation and introducing exciting new vehicle concepts, like the ID Buggy. This roofless, doorless, electric vehicle is only in the conceptual and testing phases, but it’s already drawing a lot of buzz from enthusiasts and critics alike.

A Look Inside

The overall design of the Volkswagen ID Buggy is minimalistic and clean cut. The interior consists mainly of two bucket-style seats, glove compartment, center console, and an interesting trunk space. There are not many other features inside the vehicle, which may be a downside for the tech-obsessed, but perfect for the sporty driver looking to use the Buggy for its intended purpose: off-road exploration.

Driving the E-Buggy

Alongside the innovative new interior design, the Volkswagen ID Buggy also boasts a smooth and controlled, yet powerful and carbon-footprint-reducing ride. The electric engine is able to provide 201 horsepower, 228 lb-ft of torque, and abut 130 miles of driving distance when fully charged. The powertrain setup will be able to give drivers a controlled off-road experience without sacrificing comfortable, smooth city driving.

Coming Soon…?

So far Volkswagen has only been showing off the ID Buggy concept, without providing too many details on its available features, price tag, or potential release date. However, with a lot of support backing the project, we’re certain the ID Buggy will make it off of the concept table and into the production frying pan sooner than later.
