This "Fire Command" Bronco project is built as a throwback to the original Bronco "Half-Cabs". BDS took a perfectly fine Diamond Edition Ford Bronco and started disassembling it.

This Bronco now features some of the company's best suspension equipment, including an all-new 6.5-inch lift suspension system with Fox Performance Elite Series 2.5-inch coilovers with DSC remote reservoirs, and BDS extreme duty control arms with FK uniball ball joints for maximum travel.

This two-door fire rescue machine rolls on a set of 37x12.5x17 Nitto Trail Grappler tires mounted on custom 17-inch Method race wheels with series 106 bead locks. The exterior also features a half-top conversion, a drop tailgate, a Crawltek Modular front and rear Winch Bumper, and dual Warn VR Evo 10-S Winches. A ton of Rigid 360-Series LED lights brighten things up.

Under the hood, this Bronco gets a Hypertech React off-road speedo calibrator and a Ford Performance Borla catback exhaust. On the inside, the Fire Command gets black-and-red Katzkin leather seats, a PA system and rescue siren, a Garmin Overlander GPS unit and camera, a fabricated roll cage, and a ton of Ford Performance bits.

"The goal is to assess each situation and build a tactical plan of attack for the team," explains BDS. "'Fire Command' as it's been dubbed, is a one-of-a-kind short wheelbase Bronco truck that pays homage to the early Broncos used by many rural fire departments decades ago." The entire build series is up on the BDS website, and it's totally worth a watch. If this is the standard of Broncos at SEMA this year, we're all in for a big treat.
