And it's happening next week.

Ford's range of Super Duty trucks is among the best-selling in the country, and the latest is more capable than ever. Not only does the 2022 F-250 smash Chevrolet in towing, but it is also now available with a winch for even greater capability. Unfortunately, good things cost money, and the Super Duty is about to ask for more of yours.

According to a dealer bulletin, the 2022 F-Series Super Duty range of trucks is about to increase in price. Fortunately, the increase isn't too big at just $250 across the board. It's part of what Ford is calling "competitive pricing action" and will go into effect next week.

From the 23rd of August, these Super Duty trucks will have new pricing. Fortunately, the smaller F-150 is not getting the same increase, although we did recently learn that the Raptor variant has been listed at various dealers with markups of thousands of dollars.

What makes the markup unusual is the fact that it comes very shortly after the 2022 F-250 was revealed. Currently, this model has a base asking price of $36,645 including destination fees, while the F-350 starts at $38,160 and the F-450 has a base MSRP of $52,825. And just as the F-150 Raptor sees extreme markups.

The Super Duty range is likely to be taken full advantage of by dealers.

This comes after Ford inflated prices of almost all models in June, with the exception of the Ranger that saw a price drop of thousands. Currently, no incentives are available for the Super Duty range, meaning that pricing is unlikely to drop much, if at all, when you go to haggle with your local dealer.

Ford often makes provision for deals that encourage sales, but with the popularity of the Super Duty range as well as the challenges presented by the semiconductor chip shortage, similar incentives are unlikely to appear for some time.

So if you've been considering a new F-Series Super Duty truck, get to your dealer before next week Monday.
