Here is Why the 2020 Ford F-250 XLT is the Trim You’ll Want to Buy!
Does it offer everything you need, and nothing more?
Tommy takes us around the 2020 Ford F-250 XLT TFLtruck project vehicle.
The 2020 Ford F-250 XLT is a bargain
Our project 2020 Ford F-250 XLT gives you a lot of bang for the buck. In the future, we have some interesting plans for our big Ford. We’ve already put it through a battery of tests, and that will continue. Recently, we updated the exhaust system – which sounds awesome. You can read about that (here).
On top of the XLT trim level, we added the ($2,045) 7.3-Liter gas V8 and the XLT Value Package ($1,600) adding fog lamps and the auto-lock/auto-unlock feature. Base, barebone, standard cab models of the 2020 Ford F-250s start in the mid $30,000-range.
When you add four-wheel drive, a crew cab and amenities, you’ll be in the $40,000-range. That’s still on the lower end model. There are very few extras and things like trim, wheels and tech will take you up to the next (XLT) level.
Tommy doesn’t need a fancy push-button starter!
On top of the XL basic options the XLT gets you:
- Higher end wheel and tire package
- Chrome accents
- BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Tow
- Lane-Keeping Alert
- Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)
- SYNC- 3
The trims range from the base model XL to the luxurious Limited; our XLT is on the bargain end of the spectrum.
Our truck’s MSRP is $55,805. While that is a lot of dough, it’s surprisingly good for a truck in this class. You can easily spend over $80,000 for one loaded with bells and whistles.
