FOUR WHEELER picked the new 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon as the “2020 Pickup Truck of the Year.” This award recognizes the truck for being capable and durable on and off the road.

FOUR WHEELER is a publication geared towards off-road enthusiasts. The “2020 Pickup Truck of the Year” honor is one of two annual awards that the editors give out after conducting tests to determine which vehicles stand above the rest.
The trucks in this year’s invitation-only competition had to take on a variety of terrains, including pavement, snow, mud, sand, rocks, gravel, and dirt. They also needed to successfully cross through water, climb up a loose-dirt hill, and make a trek at night.
Once the week of testing concluded, judges from JP MAGAZINE, 4-WHEEL & OFF-ROAD, and FOUR WHEELER selected the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon as the winner for its impressive performance.

The truck was able to handle the different road conditions, thanks to its Rock-Trac® transfer case, which has a 4:1 low range, Tru-Lok® differential lockers, skid plates, and front disconnecting stabilizer bar. The truck retains the iconic, open-air design of a Jeep, while also offering the utility of a truck, making for a mighty combination.
The Jeep Gladiator gets its power from the 285-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine and offers best-in-class towing. The versatility of the Trail Rated truck helps it withstand different pathways, and the Rubicon trim, in particular, adds equipment for tougher outdoor adventures.
With this latest award, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon seems to have proven itself to be a formidable option for journeys off the beaten path.
