Nissan Targets Pet Rescue With Special Titan XD
In keeping with its Calling All Titans volunteer campaign, the truckmaker has created another special-edition full-size pickup truck with a mission to help others — this time in collaboration with Animal Rescue Rigs. Animal Rescue Rigs is a new national charity dedicated to the providing support for the pets of families affected by natural disasters, whether it's before, during or after the disaster.
Nissan used the 2018 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas to reveal the 2018 Paws One Titan XD Pro-4X; it will be deployed in 2019 as the Paws Two Titan XD. Nissan previously donated a custom Titan XD to the American Red Cross as part of the Calling All Titans campaign.
The Paws One Titan XD Pro-4X crew cab is powered by the 5.7-liter gas engine and is equipped with a custom suspension lift, heavy-duty front and rear bumpers, and a bed rack designed to carry a pontoon boat to rescue animals trapped in trees or houses during floods.
The industry-only 2018 SEMA Show runs through Friday at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
