It looks seriously chunky but funky.

As crossovers and small SUVs become more powerful and capable, the demand for better-performing tires is on the increase, and Nitto has just stepped up to the plate with a new offering called the Nomad Grappler. This aggressive all-terrain tire is set to give compact SUVs the edge when it comes to off-road driving and added peace of mind when driving through treacherous weather conditions thanks to a bold tread pattern and straightened sidewalls that offer impressive puncture resistance.

Nitto supplies tires to a wide variety of performance vehicles, ranging from straight-line beasts such as the Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock to the rough and ready Ford Bronco, so you can be sure that these new tires are ready to perform.

According to Nitto, the new Nomad Grappler, which is positioned under the brand's all-terrain family of tires, is ready to meet the growing demand for a more capable off-road tire that is still comfortable enough to use on a daily basis. What makes these tires so hard-wearing is their sidewall design. Nitto offers two different rugged sidewall designs and a 3PMS rating for mild to hardcore off-road performance.

This new tire is available in 25 different sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches in diameter, so there should be something for just about every adventure-minded enthusiast not in a full-size vehicle.

"The Nomad Grappler is another testament to Nitto Tires' commitment to producing high-performing tires in all segments. We are proud to release the Nomad Grappler to provide CUV and small SUV owners with a safe and exciting tire that meets all the needs of the modern outdoor enthusiast and off-roader or CUV owner looking to distinguish themselves from the crowd," said Alan Ngo, Nitto Tire USA's Senior Manager of Product Innovation and Development.

We think Nitto is onto something here. The compact SUV market is only set to grow, and with younger buyers keen on exploring this great nation of ours, a more durable and capable off-road tire is never a bad thing.
