Ram Power Wagon Mojave Sand Edition Adds Dusty Look To Rugged Truck
Sept 18, 2018
Ram will only build 1,500 of them.
Ram launches the new limited-edition Mojave Sand package for the 2018 Ram 2500 Power Wagon that makes the rugged pickup blend in better with the sand. If you like the desert-inspired look, act fast because Ram is only building 1,500 of these trucks, and deliveries start in the fourth quarter of the year. The special models go for $54,830 (plus $1,695 destination), instead of $52,595 for the standard Power Wagon.
Ram reports that the package-exclusive Mojave Sand beige color is the fastest selling shade on the Ram Rebel, so now the brand is making the hue available on this limited-edition Power Wagon. It's the first time for the color to be available on a Ram Heavy Duty model.
Pick Up All The Details About The Ram 2500 Power Wagon:
In addition to the exclusive shade, Mojave Sand package comes with an entirely black version of the Power Wagon's 17-inch wheels that generally have polished aluminum rims. Inside, there's black upholstery and an 8.4-inch infotainment system. The Heavy Duty Luxury Group option comes standard on these pickups that adds heated, power-folding mirrors, LED lighting in the bed, an overhead console in the cabin, and a universal garage door opener.
Ram doesn't touch the Power Wagon's mechanicals for this special edition. The trucks come with a 6.4-liter V8 that produces 410 horsepower (306 kilowatts) and 429 pound-feet (581 Newton-meters) of torque. It routes through a six-speed automatic gearbox with four-wheel drive, and locking differentials at the front and rear aid in traction. If the road really gets rough, an electronic disconnecting sway bar provides up to 26 inches (660 mm) of wheel travel. The pickup also has 14.3 inches (363 millimeters) of ground clearance, 30 inches (762 mm) of wading depth. A 12,000-pound-rated (5,443 kilograms) Warn winch can pull you out of any sticky situations.
