2021 ford f-150 v8 supercharged
What is the F-150 Alpha truck by PaxPower? The company says it’s a relatively affordable way to add a serious off-road suspension and power package to the truck.
It starts life as a new 2021 Ford F-150 with a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine. These truck builds are usually offered in F-150 Platinum trims, but they don’t have to be. It can be any trim level that you prefer, as long as it is a crew cab with a short (5.5-foot) bed. Next, PaxPower goes to works and converts the suspension system to what’s underneath the current 2nd-gen factory Ford Raptor. This is the entire stock Raptor suspension package, including the a-arms, springs, and FOX shocks.
Next, the Alpha package gets a set of 3-inch wide fender flares to provide the tire coverage of the wider Raptor suspension. There is a custom hood with an air intake and air extractors for additional heat management. The Alpha truck rides on 35-inch tires, but customers may choose their own style and brand of 17-inch wheels.
A performance dual exhaust system and a graphics package round out the look of the truck. All of the elements discussed so far come bundled together at a price of $18,950. This price does not include any engine/powertrain modifications. That comes as an additional option.
If you purchased a 2021 F-150 XLT 5.0L V8 4×4 for about $50,000, then your Alpha build will be approaching the $70,000 with all suspension and cosmetic modifications.
If you want the 770 horsepower truck, then you can opt for the Whipple supercharger kit. This a 3.0-liter blower that provides the stock Coyote with about 8 psi of boost. The base power is at 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. The Supercharged V8 power numbers come in at 770 hp and 675 lb-ft of torque. The supercharger package retails at $12,450.
PaxPower offers other additional packages and engine options for this build. There is a steel bumper and light upgrade package that you see in these renderings. For more details, please contact the guys at PaxPower.com.
