They even come with a three-year warranty.

Last week, we reported that Ohio-based dealership Lebanon Ford will sell you a 2019 Ford F-150 with a supercharged, 725-hp V8 for just under $40,000. Not to be outdone, certain Chevrolet dealerships are now offering modified Tahoe and Suburbans with 1,000 hp on tap if you’re looking for a large SUV with more power than a LaFerrari.

The full-size SUVs have been tuned by Specialty Vehicle Engineering, a renowned GM supplier known for its modern-day Yenko Camaros. Under the hood, both SUVs get a custom-built V8 based on the LT1 found in the Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette. SVE has upgraded the engine displacement to 6.8 liters and added a supercharger to increase the output to 1,000 hp and 875 lb-ft of torque. However, the 1,000-hp package is only available for Tahoe and Suburban models ordered with rear-wheel drive.

If you want four-wheel drive, SVE also offers a Stage I package with the same 6.8-liter supercharged V8 engine downgraded to a mere 810 hp. Stage I kits include a forged steel crankshaft and aluminum pistons, CNC-ported LT1 heads, a custom supercharger, headers, and an optional heavy-duty transmission.

The Stage II kit adds an upgraded fuel system, CNC-ported heads from an LT4 V-8 engine, a 20 percent larger supercharger with 25 percent more boost, and a larger throttle body. The heavy-duty transmission also comes as standard with the Stage II package.
